Decided to try something generic to challenge myself. I've been kinda down lately regarding art so this was a quick experiment to hopefully cheer myself up.
Belugas are really fun to draw, their anatomy leaves room for a bunch of fun shapes, their faces are very interesting and fun to draw as well. Here we have a small pod
hesitantly checking out a breathing hole before surfacing, I've seen this behavior several times in documentaries and I always loved how it looked. I've had this painting
in mind for a while now and have been working on it in between commissions.
