I wanted to try drawing two oversized figures squashed on a couch. Then I had the totally not-original idea of 'What if our toons were actors, and the animation houses etc. were the toon equivalent of Hollywood? Wouldn't two of Disney's (ahem) fuller-figured artistes naturally pal up? Especially if they've both been 'resting' for a few years. As actors, Disney's Gummi bears was in the 80s, so Tummi Gummi'd be in his 30-40's easily by now. Goof Troop was in the 90's, so PJ'd probably be in his 30's. Looks like success has gone to both their waists since their heydays!

I blame the theme tune for reminding me of the Gummi Bears recently. I was tempted to include Gusto instead- I'm sure the nerds amongst you can work out why. ;)
