From 2005, a time when my character Maynard here was a main focus for my story telling through art. Him being a sort of angel ended up being a theme I would work with recurrently, and even still recently in the past few years, but this was the start of it.

I drew this all in open canvas minus some touch ups and the BG which were done in Photoshop 7.

The face and anatomy are terrible but this pic still holds a lot of value for me in making my visions of art tangible, and I still really like the composition as a whole.

I can't remember if I ever drew him with that claw armor or scythe again, probably should sometime
