As with any portrait, this painting was rather intensive, particularly with the subject. Zaevíi are perfectly intelligent, being as they are fae, but rather detest being told to 'sit still'. After many failed attempts to encourage her to stop moving, at last I had to resort to bribery. The promise of a plate of sliced cheeses was enough to entice the Zaevii to stay still long enough to capture her likeness.
