I've lost count how many people have asked if I can make leather peacock feathers, and I never bothered to try because 1) real peacock feathers are super common, legal, and easy to make jewelry out of, and 2), it's difficult to make a feather with lots of wispy veins out of leather and make it look right. This client asked for the feather to be about life size, so it was way easier to tool everything at 7 inches instead of my normal 3 inches.
