While Tessa is my favorite pro fighter OC, she wasn't actually my first. I designer her as a rival for Christie, a kangaroo from the Bronx.

A rising star in the ZBA, Christie is one of the top busterweight (roughly equivalent to welterweight IRL) fighters in the world, and has been the US champion for nearly 5 years, plus holding the international title for nearly 3 years before losing it to Tessa.

Quick-witted and quick on her feet, Christie prefers the "outboxer" style of fighting, staying clear of her opponent's attacks and getting in hits where she can to soften them up until she can go for a knockout. Her signature finisher is to lean back on her tail and driving both heels right into her opponent. (The mental image of this was the biggest reason I switched them from boxer to MMA-style fighters.)

...I have no idea why I chose blue fur for her, but it works nicely so I'm not complaining. :D
