from a set of practice pieces I did a while back, doing characters from Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist) as gryphons, which started when I couldn't decide how to color a piece of gryphon lineart I made and decided to base the coloration on Rin from AoEx.

this is the Mephisto gryphon I made with a background (a piece of synesthesia did to his BGM). I made him a raven gryphon since in the newest manga arc he reveals that Mephisto is just an alias, his real name is Samael, and that one of his other aliases he used in the past was Raven.
