What is it? Can you guess? Don’t look at the tags and just guess? Is it a fox? A rat? A strange swimming dog? Nope! This is a very early whale. P. calcis (Cooper et al., 2009) is one of the more complete species of Pakicetinae. This is a maybe idea for a bigger drawing. Feet are wrong (couldn't tell from my reference) but I kinda like the little guy keeping his head up in the water and being adorable. I know they’re not supposed to be cute but this fellow ended up being cute. Oh well. He’s a cute wolf-sized semi-aquatic terror.
