I'm sure some of you have seen my character Fumblgrimm? Who had his eyes gouged out with a scallop shell? Well here he is in his better days, and when he had beautiful eyes. His left eye has Sectional Heterochromia, a genetic mutation, giving him a dash of rare blue in that eye. He is native in what is today called Norway, and long ago Vikings had thrown him scraps of food and leather, which got this guy quite used to humans and rather tame, however, due to his high prey drive, the poor Vikings got absolutely tired of him chasing and killing their horses and livestock so he was kicked out, and hopping from village to village and ending up in the same situation each time he over stayed his welcome.

This is a made up species of mustelid called a Dirgehowler. It's basically a "were weasel" the size of a moose.
