Voltaire Fursuit - Short Vid.

Volt Siano

This was too long in coming, but here it is! Now you get to see the whole suit together (for better or for worse). Let me know if you like it, I guess, and what you think could be improved!

Is this the first suit you've made? There are places you could improve, but overall pretty good. I can try to write up an actual critique if you'd like.

My biggest concern is safety, your eyes are really small; fursuit vision is restricted by default and I'd imagine seeing through those is a nightmare.

      Yes, it is my first.

And yes, I know the eyes are small; if and when I redo the head, that's the top item on the list of things to change. Really, though, vision isn't all that bad. The whites of the eyes are the same material as the iris and pupil, so I can see through it as well.
If you're up for it, I'd be willing to see your critique. I'm well aware the suit is far from the best, though I'd like to say it's not the worst either. All the same, whatever you have to say may bring to light something I might have missed in my personal assessment of it, which I can then take into consideration in the likely event of a remake.
Thanks for your interest! (Would that be the correct phrase? Or am I using it in a weird way?)

For a first, it really isn't bad at all!

There aren't many ways you can go wrong with a partial, so the only thing I really have to point out is the head. The face looks kinda flat to me and the shape of the head seems a little boxy. The muzzle suddenly stops instead of a smooth transition into the cheeks and forehead, and I think using a little bit of foam to help it look more natural would have helped. It's hard for me to put into words, but I hope you get what I'm saying with the muzzle.

The shaving on the muzzle seems kinda rough around the cheeks too. Instead of smoothly going from short to long, it suddenly changes. How did you shave the fur? If you used electric trimmers, did they have those guards you can clip on to help trim different lengths? And, did you practice trimming on scrap fur first?

I don't think "Thanks for your interest" is out of place. C:

Yeah, it I see what you mean about the muzzle. In essence, I guess I just need to work on transitions. To be honest, I actually trimmed the fur before gluing it on; and, well, that worked BRILLIANTLY. Sarcastic cough
I might just go back and make a better head once the remaining pieces are done. Thanks for your imput!
