un montagne invisible

Volpin

Old stories tell of a mountain, unmatched in majesty and dimension.
The mountain is said to be a titan formed by titans, as a lookout to the world itself.
The mountain is called "The Invisible" for once a year, if you know when to look into the right direction and if natures forces allow, you would see it glimmering in the sun, as if it were made of liquid fire. And then the mountain would dissolve into the burning sky, making the last titan disappear into the endless horizon behind it.

Just a practise piece to get my first understanding of how light and shadow blend into each other, and what distance-fading is about.
Also it serves me to get worked into my newly aquired Cintiq 13HD - that thing is pure magic, and actually seeing what you draw underneath the tip of your pen is just amazing.

Enjoy.
