Padget's definitely a side character with his own little story that's not related to what's going on in my big ol' universe. But he's connected to it through Deacon.

He was abandoned when he was six, and ended up a ward of the state in psychiatric hospitals and hospice situations. He has crazy high anxiety and a lot of fear, mostly of new things. Can't take care of himself well - his teeth are discolored because no one was forcing him to use toothpaste, etc. Blankets help calm him.

Although he is told that he's not fit to be dating, a concept which Page hardly understands, he wants nothing more than to get married and have kids, a house, etc. All that tasty domestic life. Because he doesn't have a clear mind on the issue, he shows no preference over gender and will likely go through the motions of a relationship without actually feeling anything.

He is easily overpowered, something that can become useful when he's being childish over something he doesn't like, such as spicy food. But he is gullible. And if you're close to him, then he'll do anything to make you happy or proud.
