Ruby

Possesses qualities similar to some common love spells. Whoever has one will become somewhat more romatically desirable to one sentient being of their choice (pony or otherwise). This effect is not intense enough to cause any kind of abnormal obsession or admiration, however. There is no guarantee the intended target will partake.

Topaz

Acts as a shield from the cold, keeping anyone who has possession of one from ever being cold. Even ice spells have no effect on them, or on anyone who has one. The topaz itself does not emit heat, but rather, repels cold.

Emerald

These emeralds have the ability to repel disease and illness, as well as negative magic such as curses. This effect is limited and does not destroy these things completely—only repels them from whoever has possession of the emerald.

Diamond

The diamonds of Pentakis Caverns have the power to enhance the flying abilities of any pegasus who has one, or increase the magical skills of any unicorn who has one, though its ability to do so is limited. The diamonds will not enhance the abilities of anyone who already has considerable power, and by extension, will have no effect on an alicorn.

Sapphire

These sapphires radiate a calming sort of quality, able to suppress negative emotions such as anger or sadness to an extent.
