So i pretty much began drawing furry arts for the ....actually any kinda arts at all really... on the 23rd of feb where i asked a friend to show me the basic layout for a furry face and i went from there learning on my own about anotomy and positioning for bipedal forms and asking advice from my friend and members of the community.

The pic a day thingy is a way for me to keep a record of my wins and fails so i can look back over time while sharing with others( hardly original i know), the image i post can be anything, a sketch of the junk on my table, a face, a place ...i don't know yet really but it should be a fun way for me to work....at least thats what im hoping =^^=

I will say this now, despite the mistakes, i am proud of this, after i attempted to draw the cute kitty Emikochan at the last coffee meet and failing so miserably to the point that i had to destroy the image totally i decided to go back and try again properly from the ground up starting with the basics of the female form and its structure.

I have a couple good basic reference guides that i've bought a couple weeks ago for drawing the body and they have taught me a lot..

This is the second time i have tried to draw the female form in this manner, the first being a general layout image that i made two weeks ago and i don't think it turned out to badly.

The things i got wrong began when i noticed that i had made the ribcage guide oval far too long because i had positioned the belly button at the wrong place , it was far to far south and by then i had already drawn in the bulk of the body.

Saying that, i was able to modify it slightly so that its not to notable and the various point that are supposed to be near each other are for the most part, thought it has led to her looking a bit long in the thigh and midrift, the only other things is the shoulders seem a bit narrow but i dont mind it too much.

Exit thoughts...

i am perfectly happy with the face, i think it looks good, the eye were going to be open but when i was drawing in the framing of the eye sockets i realized she looked good like that so kept it.

I haven't drawn in the remainder of her hair, she generally has a few dreadlocks branching out behind her neck but every time i tried to draw them it looked worse and worse and i feared damaging the rest with continue rubbing's out....also she has no tail.....sorry emi,..i didn't feel like i had enough experience yet to pop one in and as for the paws, those are just placeholders for the moment for the same reason as the tail...also..it was 5 am and i was winding down from a Monster

I do intend to return to this once i have a tablet ...god knows i cannot wait to get paid, first thing im buying is one.
