A quick (but still too damn slow for what it is) sketch of a "night forest". Tried adding a bit more color to it (dark parts are redder, bright parts are bluer), but it still looks way too monotone. And trees barely look like trees. Oh well.

I think you actually found a really good balance between the simpler trees and the detailed focal point of the piece.
