I was listening to teh death metalz (Dying Fetus - death metal isn't normally something I'll listen to; I like prog and power mostly) and it made me wanna draw my Pestilence.

Also because I never draw backgrounds anymore and I need to do more things like this even if they are sloppy, to practice with using actual backgrounds. Because all I ever do is simple images that don't really challenge me much as far as coloring and shading and stuff go. I've been having a hankering for doing a full image with a BG lately since it's been so long.. still need to do one, since this is obviously super rough and not a refined work. For whatever reason I don't feel motivated to refine this and turn it into an actual piece, though I like the concept. Probably because trees are a huge bitch to draw, for me anyway. ><

Somewhat inspired by a piece I've commissioned by zombiedoggy that's currently in the works, that has a similar concept (her idea, so I give her credit :P)
