One day when I opened up my art program to work on some art, I had recently discovered that all of my brushes that I had collected over the years from various free DeviantArt links had been deleted. This combined with the fact that I had taken pretty long hiatuses in between attempts of art, usually just working on a project here and there, it felt like starting at square one with digital art. I also had gone a long period without drawing art in general, so I was feeling rusty In general. However, I just went back and looked at some old drawings I done, lingering over the ones that I specifically remembered feeling like they were a breeze to complete, and that had turned out pretty high quality by my standards, and then I just leapt into this piece. I also decided to have a little fun with the default brushes the program came with, as well as trying to mess around with rays of light, overall I'd say this piece helped me both realize the limitations of my aging pc and digital art, but also that it's really easy to make custom brushes.
