The shark girl once was very attached to her fingers, until that little engineering accident with the plasma cutter happened. Fortunately for the engineering deck there is a competent medical bay on the same ship and the surgeons are pretty much used to treating traumas and reattach the occasional bodypart of absent-minded engineers.
