at first I was like 'oh lets do a fun speedpaint for luls' but then I got burned out and depressed because I can't figure out why this looks like cack
If you can peg something you don't like about this, lemme know- and if there's something you like, throw that in too, yeah? I don't think havinga full list of negatives is healthy for the psyche, right?
; w; Oho! Thank you so much! I'll definitely have to remember this~

It looks fine to me and I can't really get critical without it getting nitpicky or unreasonable for a speedpaint to achieve. Maybe could of used a more hot pink color, maybe a lower pose to get more of the Qurupeco, nose/bill might be a bit too tall. But overall I like it, especially the detail on the teeth and mouth. Lot of nice detail peppered throughout actually. :)

qurupeco!! :D damn, i love/hate this dude. sweet design, though. one of my fav lookin monsters!
compositionally and structurally, this is all super strong - your color choice and anatomy are definitely solid. but i think you could push your shading contrast a little further! that means shadows, but dont forget about highlights, too. id take another look at the shading on the neck pouch and beak...and later on in your rendering process, a little shiny reflective lighting might be a fancy touch - id love to see the blue of its talons shining against the neck/beak.
this is wicked cool, though. i love the pose and the volume thats offered from the angle of the wings and that one leg haunch thats sticking a little forward. i would love to see it finished if you can power through...just remember to take a break and draw fun stuff in between. (and you dont have to finish something if you dont love it, either: emotional health is number one!)
