Altair is one of the thirteen Warhounds born to serve and protect the king and the royal family of ancient times. They have loyally served the empire for hundreds of years.

Warhounds are born entirely organic. They have leathery skin and are capable of having fur. All Warhounds can manipulate metal telepathically, and can even synthesize it over time, however Warhounds can only synthesize one kind of metal. At birth, they create a mask that covers their entire face. Each mask is unique and serves as way of identification. Over time, metal parts grow and replace aging or damaged organic parts, eventually becoming a living set of armor.
