Back in the old days, Under was a bounty hunter and made a lot of money hunting rare creatures. Nowadays, though, Under is overqualified for currently available work, which usually consists of 'go beat up that guy because he owes me money'.

Under doesn't talk about why the bounty hunting work dried up -- or even if it ever did at all. Maybe it didn't. Maybe Under got out of the business. Maybe Under had a good reason for turning down all that money.

Or maybe Under just got bored.
