This is a character of mine from my story, Beyond. Her name is Faye Godric.
Copy/Paste from dA:
I keep changing Faye's outfits.
I regret nothing...
I'll do the full set soon, and then add the file to her ref sheet. I just...I just really don't like her current outfit anymore. It's kinda---I don't know, bland? It just doesn't fit. To her sense of fashion, nor the world she's in. So I'm nixing it.
:new:The first person to identify the type of bird whose feathers that are on Faye's face scarf gets a cookie.
But a small update to her (apart from the attire), the feathers go further around the "wrists" of her wings. It makes it easier to do the bird-style folding of the wings. I must have looked up a brazilian owl pictures for those wings.
I'm rather pleased with this new attire. It's rugged and really fits well. I think this is a keeper.
Her left (her left, our right) bracer gave me a bunch of problems, along with the secondary feathers shown on the right side.
I looked up a few pictures in my favourites to find some things that'd help me figure out how I would do the bottom light source. I remember watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QGIwi…. So I thought of blue flames along with using a gradient for the basis.
