Someone else mentioned the embroidery thing before! I spent a lot of time at my grandmother's houses when I was young and both of them had a lot of floral needlepoint/William Morris-styled patterns on furniture and belongings and I think that sort of aesthetic unconsciously influenced me a lot!! But seriously I'm so happy it comes across like that, that's made my day ;;w;;

i was thinking about and trying to figure out why and what it is i like you work so much and looking at these helped me pin down the reason
the way you handle brush strokes reminds me a lot of embroidery, and that gives it a very warm and inviting feeling to it. its soft and cozy, feels like home or old friends
