What a fun picture!~ :3 I think you're off to a great start, though I would suggest you try working on some foreshortening and perspective - particularly on his right arm (the arm furthest away from the viewer), as the way that it's rendered at the moment is throwing off the perspective and making the pose look a little unnatural and uncomfortable.
