This object in a belgian village was a brewery for more than a century. Today it is still inhabited and used (at least partially), but from the days of the brewery are only memories, some technical remains and a fading lettering above the gate leftover.
A friendly guy, who showed us the object, presents a photography from the 1850s in front of the same building today.

1850's, that very early photography. It's sharp enough, I'm guessing it's an albumin print from a collodion negative. A callotype would not be that sharp.
