Straight up, I'm gonna say that I don't like this one. It's not because of how it came out, it's because it would need to be either a closed-eye makeup (which I don't do) or would require full black sclera contacts (which I don't have), and well...it's rather unsettling-looking! I don't know what I was expecting when I chose a Barn Owl...

Thank you for the very constructive comment! I think I could adapt this makeup to be more wearable, rather than how it is right now. It's something I may revisit in the future, but, I also do plan on trying out at least one other type of owl before then.

I think it looks great as a concept! You can always go back to it later and find other ways to go about it. I'm thinking maybe just outlining the eyes with black and blend the corners of the eyes, like you have there?
Do you have any colored contacts by chance? Dark brown could work as an alternative. It might feel a little odd but I'm sure you can make it work! In a lot of cases, you gotta make do with what you have.
