This was back when I wasn't sure what they were gonna be, but, for all intents and purposes, yes, they're magical! This one has just went through something of a rite of passage for warriors. They don't always glow like that. d:

Rite of passage may not be the right word. That's only something high-class warriors do. It, among other things, secures their telomeres and makes them able to manifest energy. That's how they are able to get their magic powers. d:

oh okay, makes sense! I am almost disappointed by the lack of magical tailors but all things considered that may be for the best.
