Sidewalk Blues by Tigris

Sidewalk Blues

Tigris

This one was named after a song by Jelly Roll Morton (1926). Listen to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LFUDfcqHrk

This is my character, Harp. He's in showbiz as a silent film comedian and acrobat in the 1920s. When he isn't in costume, these are his street clothes, an over-sized suit to accommodate his larger-than-average limbs.

My inspiration for this one was Harpo Marx. He would escape at odd hours of the night after his performances at the theatre in NYC. He would wander to Aleck's poker game at the Algonquin Hotel or go to his cozy booth at Lindy's restaurant where a warm meal and cheesecake would be waiting.
