Old work. In which Lorrie makes a cameo for convenience, making this technically non-canon.

This entire thing was actually build up for an exchange the story stops just short of reaching; Mela pretends to give Niv a hard time for ogling another woman, taking advantage of the fact that he didn't notice her doing the exact same. But by the time I actually got to the point of writing it, the whole thing fell apart in my head and I'd forgotten why the idea was even appealing.
