Apparently, Lukiih has started a quest for improvement. Many people have joined, and now I have too.

Since Ace is the main subject of most of my pictures, I showed how he has evolved over the past 3 years. When I first came up with Ace, I wasn't very happy with where I was in my life. That's actually the reason I came up with him in the first place. I dressed him in black and made him kinda "emo." I didn't draw him much back then as my art skills were very bad.

When I first started to draw him regularly, I had just started a job at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. I have a few of him here in the TDCJ Uniform. My skills were still pretty bad, but I had a basic grasp of anatomy.

I dabbled with colored pencils for a while because that was all I had available. My art started to really blossom because of two events. I got a graphic tablet and met projectblue02. We were friends for a while and she gave me a LOT of help with my art. You can see how my style started to reflect hers. I tried hard not to make my art resemble hers exactly.

Ace and I have evolved quite a bit in the three years we've known each other.
