After drawing alot of bird pokemon(like Ho-oh, Lugia, Yvetal, the bird trio and
blaziken) made me want to draw my bird Pokemon ocs that I haven't gotten to
for a long while. I really wanted to share my small development of these side
characters even though Palinka is sometimes part of Aldric's side. Of course
she has her 'own' life she tends to.

During the 'bird season' she was looking for a mate that's would be the kind of
Pokemon that would help benefit her future offsprings. Instead of a bird that are
in some cases in it for the looks. However, she came across a bird named Harvey.
And he's interesting case as his 'looks' scares pokemon off with his 'soulless' eyes.
(intimate ability) while she isn't going after a guy for looks but scaring off predators
that try to eat their chicks would be better!

She eventually introduce Harvey to Aldric and Burgus, who by first glance meeting
Harvey; their bodies were to stricken with fear. Feeling oddly wary of Harvey. Of
course Makenshi is somewhat unfazed by the bird as he know the ability of this
bird is 'intimate' of course.

Harvey eventually became part of the temporary family. Even though he is often
unusually quiet and hardly talks at all. He does nods and does what he's told
and would help group whatever they needed without questions.

Now for introducing their evolved forms. For a longest time I became very
hesitant of having the Fletchinder evolved...in my honest opinion, as much I
love peregrine falcons. I miss it's 'cute' look as a fletchinder. Nothing about talonflame
looks makes me think oh, it's a cute bird of prey. I agree peregrine falcons are majestic
beautiful birds but...talonflame's style is full of 'coolness' factor that's in it's look. The firey
flaming like appearance the serious eyes. It was the reason why I wanted to keep Palinka
as a fletchinder but eventually I really want to have her be a little 'stronger' to help
support Aldric, Makenshi, and Burgus. Please don't get the wrong idea for me hating
Talonflame. I LOVE that bird myself too, especially giving Nate his own male talonflame.

When I got started drawing of a peregrine falcon to put into the talonflame look I actually
stumbled upon a much 'cuter' bird of prey. I know I might get call out for not putting
a peregrine falcon appearance on talonflame. But seriously, I'm an artist, and many artists
who put their own imagination of whatever realistic animal onto a pokemon is really up to their creativity.

So I based this bird off of a pygmy falcon. An adorable bird of prey. Also, a fun tidbit...their calls
are somewhat very close.

Also small trivia, she has a darker patch of her wing.(female pygmy falcons have dark brown
patches while males have more of a duller grey wings) She has aslight bit of red cardinal in her.
As for the drawing...I try to keep it semi-realistic instead of realistic.

For Harvey as a Staravia he's more a mixed of two birds like Palinka. Whiskey Jack and a
nothern lapwing, for staraptor he's a mixed of two birds of prey together; Harpy eagle and
the long-crested eagle. Forgot to add Harvey as a Staraptor is big enough bird to carry a person
but not for Palinka because she's smoll.
