Solatiberius -- It's never too early for Halloween!

So, if anyone's been aware of my recent tweets and some sketches I've been getting, I'm rather fond of the game Solatorobo, a JRPG that has been out in Europe (in English!) since June and launches in the US on the 27th.

A link to the intro is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-diwBOEJkg

Anyway, the main character is Red Savarin, a canine youth who is thrust (heh!) into a problem and he has to dig his way out. The game is cute; all the characters have somewhat French names and their few spoken phrases are actually in French (which adds to the appeal for me; I took French in college and the lines Red says are awesome).

I also noticed that Red and Tibs look a little alike and I wanted to get something done that wasn't just Red looking awesome or being raped or something like that. I thought about meshing the two characters together. I approached   Neo about this because I love his style and he's been a really awesome guy on Twitter. He'd done a few sketches (An adorable one of how he came to mesh the characters together) and today he finished the full commission!

So yes, there is a distinct difference between Red's outfit and Tibs's mostly the exposed footpaws, the blue, the use of moons instead of giant crystals, AND for all you people who will point out Tibs isn't wearing his iconic hat, look closely. It's very much a modified newsboy cap. =p

I figured with Halloween so close this would be Tibs' Halloween costume for the year. I like it a lot and Neo did a wonderful job making the logo and melding his style with the work of CyberConnect 2.

Tibs is copyright to moi
Artwork is   Neo
And   Keto thought up the title!

Man, Solatorobo. Love that game. I'm still waiting on news about the prequel that was in the works, but it's been quiet for a year or so now...
