A kind and often skiddish mage in training from a far off village facing what seems to be a rough drought, Vent wanted to learn magic in order to help his people as there were rumors of a curse about. Despite his attempts, he simply couldn't conjure magic but came across a strange seed as he both experimented with  growing plants from home and practicing magic. On a full moon after he tried and failed to cast a purification spell on one of his plants, he took out the seed and looked at it, holding it up to the moon as red glowing particles started to come from his hand before the seed started to glow. As this seed glowed, it suddenly cracked and violently planted itself into Vent's arm, shell dropping to the ground as black and red flames came off his body as the plant's roots traveled through until the dark flames are dispelled in a wave of green light before the cat collapsed to the ground, arm darkened with a dark brown pattern. Teachers investigating his claim of the incident started to clear out his plants, with them noting that a curse was indeed on the plants, except the one with him that he was trying to purify, but as he was still incapable of casting magic, he was then attacked by a bully eager to make them vanish, revealing a contracted demon before Vent's arm painfully sprouts vines and turns green, also forming a wood sword that seems capable of repelling the demon, scaring off the bully, teachers not quite sure how a plant ingrained itself into his arm, though it seems that it delayed him being to cast magic as it itself atuned to his magic after dispelling the curse on him that kept him from accessing his wind and plant powers that let him barely keep his plants that should've died from the curse alive.
