This is absolutely amazing hun! I love the style of it and the protective way he envelopes Light xx is she crying? He was absolutely dedicated to her, wasn’t he? You can see it xx stunning stuff hun! Time well spent I reckon :)

thank you dear :D I love the way this style of shading and highlight worked out but my gods it took me all damn day and is definitely not a productive way of working XD maybe if I made a special brush or something somewhere down the line.. cover more area in shading if I could make less strokes lol

I'm -SO- glad it came across as protective and not overbearing. I worried that him covering her eyes like that would look like he was trying to control/manipulate her rather than 'shield' her from how 'wrong' the world has gone for her </3
oh indeed Mika being awoken from stasis was during a very awful, broken time in Dee's life, she was flitting between fits of mass depression and absolute outrage at the Underrealm/the 'betrayers' that were keeping Gabriel from her :/ I also imagine her state of mind being a BIG factor in why Mika fell so hard for her and felt -such- a driving need to help her <3 that and the fact she was more or less hiding away from everyone but him in order to give him her orders. I also imagine he became a shoulder she'd cry on sicne he was the onyl person really in her life at that point.. their story is kind of heartbreaking in its own way ^^; especially when you factor in how much Mika heard about Gabriel during that time and how much he could see that Dee was devastated by the loss of him so Mika knew from the very beginning that there was no actual real chance that he could mean anywhere near as much to her

sorry went off on a bit of a tangent there but as I've said their past/their story has been dominating my headspace lately given that the both of them are being so loud at the same time XD
