To Dash Me on the Rocks Where My Carcass Decays

TheWanderingWeasel

My right to choose my path you slaughtered;
our course together you altered.
Yours sneaks into mist mine leads me to plummet away,
to dash me on the rocks where my carcass decays.
To nourish the surf with my mortal remains,
where crabs and fish in my ribs now play,
they delight and devour and live now inside
this condo of bones where true love has died.
Free now of hearts, skin, flesh, soul, and mind
my blood this salty sand now stains,
but as with your promise it is gone with the tide.
No hint of me nor love remains,
when dawn wakens the saddened sky.
