Presenting what is probably the most unusual dreamcatcher I've ever made: A white, silver-sparkled glow-in-the-dark 'Star Wars' themed dreamcatcher, no less!
The frame is a whole 5 point Colorado mule deer antler; hanging from the burr end of the antler is a tanned arctic fox tail that was a lucky salvage find. Also on it is a blue slate turkey feather (hanging with the fox tail) and small Amherst pheasant feathers caught in the web. In the web are beads specifically chosen to resemble planets and stars - blue banded agate, silver minibeads and clear prism minibeads, to be exact. White deerskin lacing hangs from the main branch of the antler. It is designed as a wall-hanging piece.
A Star Wars insignia is painted on the antler in silver. =)
"But does it really glow in the dark?!" You bet your sweet tail it does. Follow the link at the bottom to see a photo of the glow effect.
This is a custom commission, prepaid and not for sale. So no, not my idea. :p
Pity I didn't finish it on the 4th...
Lots of additional photos can be found here. :)
