She's trying to quit smoking, so she's been sucking on lollipops or pretzel sticks to help her with the muscle memory aspects. Carrie lost a parent to lung cancer and that's always stuck with her, but she recently had her Realization Moment and has been putting forward an effort to put the cigarettes down. She'll smoke a cigar for special occasions, though.
