Netflix's upcoming new cartoon Mulligan looks...fine. Yeah the humor and writing could've been better, but that being said I feel like we really need to stop taking a huge shit on every adult cartoon that doesn't look or feel different than others. Like seriously, I get everyone was upset when Inside Job was canned, and I was too, but Mulligan is getting completely fucked around because to the Internet's logic, Inside Job was cancelled for Mulligan, which is false (if you really want to know what happened, it was cancelled after Mike Moon, head of Netflix Animation's adult animation department, left to create Moonlight, an adult animation label of Illumination, meaning Netflix had to make some rearrangements while finding a replacement), and therefore Netflix is "dIsReSpEcTiNg" animation for it. Netflix's algorithm is shit, I agree, but knocking Netflix around constantly for something that happened months ago is ridiculous. Like, I'm not even joking there was a YouTube comment that literally went like:

"Netflix, please take better care of your animation department. Animation is such an amazing medium for storytelling with so much potential. We could’ve gotten Jeff Smith’s Bone, Wings of Fire, Lauren Faust’s Toil and Trouble, Kung Fu Space Punch and more seasons of Inside Job already."

And another comment said "I want more Inside Job damnit!" Lmao you're not getting anymore, you're SCREAMING at a corporation that never knew you.

Like seriously, Netflix wants to do cartoons to appeal to everyone, not pander to some 5 year old Vailskibum fan's wet dream. They WILL make a good cartoon that people will like, and maybe Mulligan could be good. People really need to be more patient with this kind of stuff. And this whole "animation is such an amazing medium for storytelling" can fuck off. Animation can be used to express creativity for what people want to do, even if it's something people have done, NOT taken as comparison to Mona Lisa. People have seriously exaggerated the medium and I'm tired of both that and the fact nobody wants to face the truth. I have actually said something about this on that godawful Artfol website and gotten a "WELL ACKSHULLEE 🤓" comment. In fact I gotten more of the "WELL ACKSHULLEE 🤓" after posting another thing about commissions (tl;dr commissions should not always be a full-time job).

Anyways, rant over. Axatrax, the official name of this character from Mulligan, looks cool and I decided to make him more badass looking.
