2022 Art Summary (story in desc.)

The Nose

Well, here it is. My first official art summary. Didn't even know these were a thing until one of the artists I follow posted theirs, so I decided fuck it I'm gonna do it. Not like I had anything else to do other than maybe do a drawing idk. Special thanks to Multi-Dimension from DeviantArt for the template!

January to me is the most depressing month of all years, but at the time, it wasn't all that terrible. At the time, me and my dad were not talking to each other, which was for the best since we couldn't get along at all since we both continuously screwed up, which I probably did more of that. My grandma's husband passed away on the second of that month and I had to go visit her for the funeral. January also saw the debut of my OC Legwark, whom I am still trying to figure use out of.

February was my birthday month, but my birthday was a complete disaster. Although I got a new phone, we couldn't celebrate it because one of our former friends decided to blame me as to why he couldn't have us babysit his kids (who are incredibly awful FYI) and that I specifically told him that at church, which was a huge lie. My dad believed it anyway and I ended up getting in trouble. I didn't even get any birthday money, which was a huge letdown and quite possibly even worse than last year's birthday. I am still really mad about that situation. February saw the debut of my OC Genit Tad, part of my series Wheelie Pop.

March wasn't really an interesting month, other than spring break (when I was at school at the time) and finally getting to watch one of my new favorite shows The Legend of Vox Machina. Excited for Season 2! :D

April hit me hard. My family found out I was gay and was initially unhappy about it, but eventually they got over it. Dad even thought I was a pedophile pretending to be a 9 year old girl thanks to taking my Google Doc profile (now deleted). It was dreadful having to go through that. However, at the end of the month, I began my job at a dollar store, where I started working only 4 hour night shifts on Saturdays.

May saw my high school graduation, though I was still working 4 hour night shifts on Saturdays because I was not doing so great on my job. I actually even asked one of my managers "do I have to". I ended up apologizing for slacking off.

June brought in the annual Pride Month, as well as me finally working more hours because of the store's shitty A/C. Although I have been asking my boss for more hours, I didn't take it so kindly, and to be fair, some of my points still stand. The company behind these stores is greedy, and the district manager is a douchebag. Apparently, we have to come in at the scheduled time and work until the store's inside temperature goes over 90 degree. So yeah, it was not fun, and I complained A LOT. That ended up backfiring in August.

July was also a really dreadful month. Me and my dad got into a huge fight which led me temporarily kicked out of the house before Mom got me and took me back. We eventually agreed that Dad was not going to bother doing anything for me anymore and that what I do is Mom's responsibility. It's basically him giving up on me. July was also the start of a bunch of vent art because I thought I could turn my account into a "diary". That ended very shortly after.

August...was a very interesting month though. It started out really rough. The complaining I did back in June has led me to get my hours cut back to 4 hour shifts on Saturday, and my parents were not happy with me. Dad took back what he said and I ended up getting lectured. I even eventually got lectured on something I wasn't even doing, which was stalking my brothers while they were in the bathroom. However, at one point in the month, I started letting my parents use my paycheck to pay bills and groceries and all the other stuff. For whatever reason, THAT was what somehow manage to get Dad to finally respect me again. It was weird, but eventually things got way better.

On September my job was starting to become unreliable, so I tried to start a second job at a fast-food restaurant where my cousin originally worked at before quitting due to employee mistreatment, which is what should've convinced me not to apply but I was desperate. The people there didn't bother to teach me how to cook everything, and made me wash dishes and go home. It was wasting gas and money for my parents, so they made me quit.

On October I participated in Inktober, would you be surprised if I were to tell you there were some late entries? I also started buying stuff from eBay, and no, I didn't celebrate Halloween, which sucks. What also sucked was that I also had to work.

On November me and my Dad's relationship was pretty much fixed at this point. I also bought him a late birthday present. It also saw me swapping to Colors! 3D rather than traditional art and sometimes ibisPaint X (both are good but I feel like Colors! is the best drawing application ever made).

And finally, there's December, the jolly month. I bought everyone a present, such as the new God of War game for my oldest brother, a Darkwing Duck shirt for my dad, a Pioneer Woman jar with a straw for Mom, a Switch controller designed as a GameCube controller for my cousin, and a Shoto Todoroki figure for my little brother. I didn't get all my presents, but so far I got a $25 eBay gift card that I used to buy a used Wii as well as a used copy of MadWorld, which I am definitely excited to play, as well as some snacks.

Overall, 2022 started out and carried on to be a very rough year, but ended on a really high note. I hope 2023 will be a great year, and hopefully put an end to this curse on this decade.
