A new OC appears! I know I already have quite a bit but I have been thinking about this guy for a long time and I really like him a lot and so now I have a nice quintet of OCs! I've really liked the concept of animated suits of armors so I made one. And he is chonky. (And yes, he is slightly based off of the For Honor Kensei class. Umeo Ōhagane actually exists as part of Malato's little superhero team. He is originally from a different dimension, one where large powers are at war with each other and mysterious forces. In this world, animated suits of armor are very common, generally holding positions in military, police or sentry duties. Umeo in that world was a lieutenant for Sun Empire (which is analogous to feudal Japan), stationed in a disputed territory area with the Albion Empire (analogous to the British Empire). Stationed here, his troop was stationed near an Albion troop so there were often disputes. However, Umeo and the lieutenant for that troop, Saxon Iren (who is also animated armor), ended up falling in love with each other. This relationship had to stay secret as fraternizing with the enemy empire could be seen as treason. Luckily in the midst of a dimensional rift, both happened to be transported to Malato's dimension. While they are worried about their own timeline, they also can finally start over and be together without worry.

Umeo is a very proficient fighter with many weapons but mainly uses a naginata he calls Risshun (meaning "first day of spring"). It allows him to fight at a distance and also do wide large swings quickly. This fighting style, while it leaves some openings from his front a lot from his back, he uses his weight to often push and throw opponents making him hard to fight. Personality wise Umeo is reserved and calm, enjoys many simple things like poetry, calligraphy and meditation. While reserved he is prone to showing strong emotions, although he feels he always could stand to be more reserved. However, unlike Malato, Umeo is not at all sensitive.

And of course, he likes to eat. Animated armor can enjoy human foods perfectly fine, but often they can eat inorganic things like metal, glass, stone and the such. From the dimension Umeo is from, usually animated armor didn't get to eat human food as that was a high privilege. Being a lieutenant though meant Umeo got to enjoy human foods often, and judging from his waistline he still does.

Umeo Ōhagane is the paladin in IronBlue's campaign. His story is that the rest of the group happened to find a set of samurai armor scattered in a small clearing. When they assembled the suit, Umeo 'woke up'. He has a very bad case of amnesia: he doesn't remember who he is, what he was doing or how long he was there for. The only thing on his person were some weapons and a book of poems by a person named 'Umeo Ōhagane'. So he's assuming that this is his name for now. He has joined the group as a thanks for being woken up to help them fight against the terraforming horror that is the Saccharow.

Although, he also has the additional task of finding out who he is - as while he doesn't remember much, he knows he's a samurai, he knows how to fight and he knows he had some important mission - but he can't remember what. The only clues so far is that he must've served some very secretive project from the kingdom of Seiryou, and that his armor style is very outdated; by at least a good half a century. It's theorized too he was a mortal at one point and died. When he did die, his soul was bounded to this suit of armor; because of this, he could've died anywhere from 500-1,000 years ago. Personality wise he is the same as above and is shown to have a very strong distaste for the undead. He also hs very emotionally resilient, although he did experience a heartbreak that he is currently taking very poorly.
