**About the Parasite:

The origins of the parasite remains a mystery some speculate they've been on the planet for many years and remained fairly harmless until 1942 when the Germans discovered them and began experimenting on them for their Super-soldier program. It resulted in the parasite mutating turning into the monstrosity you see today.

-However the specimen pictured here is a 2nd Generation parasite that made its appearance in Camp Taji, Iraq 2007. The 1st Generation appeared in 1942 and the best example of what it looked like is Hiltz's larval stage.

**Life Cycle:

The first portion of its life cycle is spent within a Alpha (Only Hiltz and one of his four Generals can spread the infection). The second half takes place inside the womb of a impregnated woman, once they emerge they have 48 hours to find a host. When a host is found it latches on to someplace on the upper torso most often the neck. It then injects the victim with its DNA and when it's finished falls off and dies.
-Hiltz often uses the tactic of impregnating a woman and when it's time for the parasites to emerge he throws the woman into a large crowded area and when they emerge anyone in the vicinity will get infected (Only the Male of the species can be infected and mutate).

**Defense:

After it emerges and goes in search of a host it's pretty vulnerable so it has an array of ways to defend itself. One defense is its appearance, to the untrained eye it often gets mistaken for a snake or some type of lizard. Some leave it alone because it will act like a venomous snake. And others who are not afraid will pick it up and learn the hard way that it's not a snake or a lizard but a parasite. It also secretes a mucus from its body that if touched it acts like a corrosive substances and burns the skin of the attacker, when the parasite dies that same mucus is used to speed up the process of decomposition destroying everything including the bones. The spines on its back are poisonous so if stepped on the victim will be injected with a deadly neurotoxin. It's secondary set of eyes act similar to the eyes of a Chameleon, while the first set of eyes are fixed forward its secondary eyes can look in different directions to watch out for potential threats or even find a suitable host.

It feels good working with this series again, now back to working on more concepts. I did kind of messed up on the head showing off its split mouth, I forgot to add a membrane that connected them together. Anyway, I hope you like the concept there will be more to come.
