Dark Woods (Story in description)

Day 1 (Part 1):
I awoke from my slumber, lying on the park bench. "Maybe napping at a park wasn't such a good idea..." I thought. The night sky is filled with stars with a full moon amongst them. The wind gently brushes past my bare face as the trees around me became animated from the slow moving air. The night may be calm but I could not feel comfortable being alone in the woods. "I have to get home." I thought to myself.

As I stood up from the wooden bench, I stretched a bit before following the dimly lit trail leading me to the parking lot on the other side of the woods. As I was walking, the wind picked up a bit and the night was getting colder by the minute. "Brrrr...I gotta hurry before I freeze to death heh." I joked to myself. After walking for five minutes, I started to get an uneasy feeling. "Is...someone following me? Hmm..." I thought to myself.

Then, I heard steps from the bushes. I stopped and looked around. "....Hello? Is someone there?" ...No response. After a few seconds, I resumed walking along the trail but at a faster pace. I felt my heart pumping faster than a sprinter after a race. I heard the steps again. "Stop following me please!" I said while upgrading my fast walk to a steady jog. Up ahead, I saw lights and what appears to be an extremely small outhouse. When I got closer, it was indeed an outhouse, which only looked like it can fit one person in there. "I'll be safe for the night if I can make it to the outhouse." I thought. But then, I stopped dead in my tracks...and I saw it. Right behind the outhouse was two glowing red circles. "Is that my follower?" I thought. The pair of red circles blinked twice, confirming that it is a living creature hiding within the trees. Judging from the distance, the creature was closer to the outhouse than I was. I had to make a decision. Should I turn around and avoid the creature or should I risk my life trying to get to the outhouse before the creature attacks me? I had to choose.

After thinking for some seconds, I charged full sprint toward the outhouse. The creature snarled and ran towards me, the race was on. The creature was something I've never seen before. It had black fur, red glowing eyes, sharp teeth and ran on all fours. For a second, I thought it was a dog or a wolf but it was way bigger than both combined and there was no barking, just growls and grunts. It must've been my lucky night because I reached the door first and hurried inside. A loud thud was heard immediately after closing the door and the beast started clawing at it. I locked it and watched the beast from the small window. "Maybe it is a dog..." I said to myself. "Ha ha you dumb mutt! Can't get in here!" I yelled. Then, something happened that caught me by surprise. The beast stood up and started twisting the doorknob with one paw! "Grrrr...you can't stay in there all night. You'll run out of air. I'll be waiting..." the beast said. I couldn't believe my ears. The beast spoke to me! I was completely awestruck for a few minutes but fear came afterward. This tiny room would only have enough air for at least 30 minutes. What do I do after that? Should I make a run for it? Should I compromise with the beast? So many decisions with so little time...
