Back in 2010 I created this character for an original character tournament. I came in second place. I grew quite attached to him along the way, though he's changed quite a bit along the way, so many of the info-dumps I have lying around are out of date.

He's part of a race of celestial beings who took the place of watching over the galaxy after the gods who created it vanished. They strive to maintain the balance of power. These beings choose the candidates to become new celestials very carefully. Vos Veshale however, was taken by force. The leader of the celestials, Onokath, had become corrupt over the years. Before he became a celestial, Veshale was a great war hero who spread an era of change that had not been known for hundreds of years. To Onokath, this was seen as a grave imbalance. But he couldn't let Veshale's power go to waste, so he was taken by force and brainwashed to do the celestial's bidding.

Veshale spent a century in servitude, knowing nothing of his past life, but Onokath knew the brainwashing wouldn't last forever, and the other celestials were starting to question his methods. So Veshale was sent to the OCT in the hopes that he'd die. Upon being sent to the OCT, Veshale's sanity began to break down due to losing his link to the rest of the celestials. He went completely malefic and vengeful for a few rounds. His mind was finally restored in the last round. He was able to return home afterwards, only to confront a cornered and murderous Onokath. Upon realizing Veshale would not be killed in the tournament, Onokath took it upon himself to do some "cleanup" of the celestial order and set about to kill anyone who didn't stand with his ideals. Upon defeating Onokath, Veshale disbanded the celestial order. There would be no new celestials as long as beings of such power had so much control over the fate of the galaxy.

He has gravity and force based powers. The blue flame he spawns is actually a manifestation of the concussive force he can use. At the height of his power he can completely control gravitational force in a small area, summon miniature singularities, levitate, and briefly shift into a selectively tangible, ultra-fast, ultra-dense "comet" form.

His longcoat turns into blue fire for no other reason than because looks badass.
