Dreamcatcher: Matroyshka by TeknicolorTiger

Dreamcatcher: Matroyshka

TeknicolorTiger

From the Dreamcatcher blog:

"Matryoshkas are lifesize dolls or statues that wander the Penumbra, often times inconspicuous and looking no different than the many statues that are kept in parks or monuments to past greats. However these get their name for a reason, their carved insides are hollow and they search for something to fill them.

Beware these innocent looking dolls. They may contain spirits of Kami looking for their missing core, enclosing a victim inside them and trapping them inside for days. The process is traumatic for the victim, as they starve their body eats itself from the inside out, until they are as hollow as the doll outside. Eventually their own hunger grows to a point they can think of nothing else, needing something inside them to fill their hollow core, and the light finally hits their frozen eyes as they are shown a victim in front of them. They feel their body break apart wrapping around the sleeping victim and taking them inside, filling them with warmth and pleasure.

These dolls can only move when out of view of a sentient onlooker."

Can't help but feel some of my personal feels leaked over into this. Been a while since I've done a real painting though, not just a speedpaint.
