Story Summary:

In the land of demons and gods the world has ended. Among the enraged demons and monsters - that laid waste to the land once known as Kohr - there are a handful of human survivors. Prolonging their judgement day by what would appear to be a merciful act, these survivors who still breath life are the few that had been chosen by demons themselves. The few that have no place in heaven or hell only the discontentment of never knowing where they would have ended. Though they cannot die from conventional methods the torment comes not from the uncertainty of when they will die but whether they can reacquire their humanity before that day comes.

"It is by the face of their savior they will meet their own doom."

Of the handful of survivors this story centers around a peculiar occurrence. A man, notorious for his vicious deeds, called Vile finds himself protected by one of these demons. However, his massive wrongdoings lack reason to why he was chosen to live by the protection of the demon known as Vaen. Originally the task at hand is a second chance at redemption for Vile with his new life. Even so, there appears to be deeper motivation to this act of alleged mercy and the mystery still yet to be answered; what was the catalyst to the destruction of Kohr.
