Okay, here's a revised version of Fardon. He still has feet rather than hands on his forepaws, but he now sports a mane which I should have thought to do in the first place.
He also has blue claws. These are not natural, but if you've got claws you might as well make them look pretty.

Fardon is a knight of Lord Varl, so I am intending at some point to have him drawn in armour, and ideally with more hand-like feet on his forelegs since these guys can manipulate objects. In active combat, he straps a blade to his tail, allowing him to perform chopping attacks with it (this would have been an awesome mechanic in Skyrim).
