A quick test suiting of the new, improved Daryil, seen here with the new tail, top and wings from Made By Mercury. Looks like I'm going to have to investigate some kind of cooling vest since this was very warm. The leather pants and PVC boots are the ones worn at Confuzzled and Anthrocon this year.

Daryil also has hip-wings which are attached by poppers. Unfortunately one of these un-popped just before the shoot and I wasn't able to put it back on without help.
The shoot itself was done under computer control - I wrote a script to fire the camera continuously, which meant every 30 seconds in practice since the 1J4 seems to take about that long to save each image when controlled by gphoto2. Daryil's new hands are more paw-like and this made it extremely difficult to operate the computer and start the script running. I might swap those out for Shiriks more human-like hand.

Some editing was done in post to correct mistakes made during the shoot. Firstly, the back of Daryil's head had the zip showing - this was carefully covered over with hair from another shot. Worse, it turned out I had my flies undone during the shoot, made prominent by the bottom of Daryil's belly-fur which was visible through the fly. The GMIC content-aware fill did an exceptional job fixing this.

I'm hoping to test him properly at Scotiacon during which he should look a little more presentable.
