In the Project Future universe, Jakob's base is guarded by a number of robotic jaguars (such as W-ILS: https://www.weasyl.com/submission/1167204/i-am-a-panther-hear-me-rawr ).

So... I was wondering what a wolf would look like if built using the same basic design as the cyberjags, and Ahro was nice enough to draw this for me. Cyberwolves may appear in a future story set in that universe, I think they would complement the cyberjags quite well by acting in a scout/stealth role where the jaguars are more about brute force.

The cyberjags (which the cyberwolves are derived from) are sentient, although not necessarily very bright, depending on how far they have been upgraded. Later models such as the Mk7 and Mk8 are capable of being upgraded to be fully human-smart. The black hide is armour and is so tough that it cannot be worked unless the material is bathed in a particular frequency of energy which temporarily softens it to the consistency of tempered steel. The power source is a direct-conversion hydrogen-boron fusion reactor.
