Project Zinogre WIPs - Extremities

The weather is unseasonably warm (above 40F), so I decided to go for broke and take care of things that required contact cement instead of E6000. On the plus side, this means I remembered to put together an update. (The body padding is almost complete, but I need the head finished in order to figure out how much of a collar will need to be added.) Cleveland Comic Con is only three months away, so let's see if I can finish this project before it's more than a year overdue.

From left to right:
I don't think the first head I made is going to work. Not only did I go about it the wrong way, it made it virtually impossible to build the jaw I wanted. I've got two options right now: Worbla and taking advantage of the nature of the upholstery foam itself to make a "hinge" for an L200 jaw.

The half-fabricated horns and L200 jaw can be seen here. Hopefully L200 fabrication will improve mechanical strength, reduce weight and keep various components from flexing.

Fingers and claws, but not much else to speak of yet. The sickle claws need to be carved down a lot to fit on two additional foam bulbs on the hand which I'll make once I have a better idea of how much space I have to work with.

The feet are foamed and just need buttressing now.
