My half of a trade for disneygurl on DA, which I opted to go all out for since she's waited so long...
Makena goes out for a run in the surf near San Diego. A good way through her run, she stops to look at the surf.
"Almost there" She thinks to herself, just watching the tides. After this, she'll go to the place where she bought her Swim Suit, pick up her newest Surf Board that she's had on order, and put those waves to the test. Good thing her iPod is water proof.

good job implying an out of focus background. I think you could have done better with the hair and fur if you hadn't used that brush. made it look too wirey. overall though, looking good.
